Before and After the Coastal Road :
The Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to remake the famous Worli sea-side walkway in South Mumbai. A bigger and better walkway is said to replace the current one. Currently, the seafront walkway spreads over 2 km in length starting from Worli Dairy and extends till INS Trata, also leading to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The new walkway will be about 4 km long and 20 meters wide. There are also plans to construct an underground parking lot nearby, a green patch between the walkway and coastal road, a bus bay for the Bus Rapid Transport System which will cover the entire stretch of the coastal road.
